Sam's Club Signs with PhotoChannel for Online Photo Service

BENTONVILLE, Ark. -- Sam's Club USA, a division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., has signed a deal with PhotoChannel Networks, Inc., based in Vancouver, B.C., to provide and operate the Sam's Club online photo service. The new service will launch next month.

The service will allow Sam's Club members to place orders for prints, greeting cards, photobooks, calendars, and other photo gift items, and pick them up at the closest Sam's Club location or have them mailed to their home.

Founded in 1995, PhotoChannel operates PNI Digital Media to provide services for major retailers, including Wal-Mart, Costco, CVS/pharmacy, and Tesco; wireless carriers; and content providers. The PNI Digital Media platform connects consumer-ordered digital content with retailers that have on-demand manufacturing capabilities for the production of merchandise, according to the company.

Sam's Club operates 584 members-only warehouse clubs.
