Active On-Demand, a provider of on-demand transportation management services, tapped Atlanta-based Inovis to automate the delivery of electronic invoices and shipment notices across its customer base of carriers and shippers.
Active On-Demand’s APT is an Internet-based transportation management system (TMS) that was developed to save retailers in unscheduled transportation costs – 20 percent to 45 percent, according to the vendor. APT connects commercial shippers with hand-delivered couriers, ground express truckers and dedicated air charters, matching requests to quotes and managing the end-to-end shipment process.
