Rudolph Foods Supports NFL Legends in Need

Rudolph Foods Co., the Lima, Ohio-based manufacturer of pork rinds, has launched its Second Annual Pork Rind Appreciation Day campaign in support of the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund – a nonprofit organization that provides medical and financial assistance to NFL players in need.

Now through Feb. 3, 2013 – the NFL’s biggest day of the year – 10 cents from each purchase of any Rudolph Foods branded product will support the organization’s assistance fund, up to $10,000.

“There are few things more American than pork rinds and The Big Game,” said Mark Singleton, VP Sales and Marketing for Rudolph Foods. “As a family-owned company ourselves, Rudolph Foods is proud to lead other football-lovin’ families in the support of Gridiron Greats. These heroes have provided us with decades of memories and entertainment, it’s only right we support them now in their time of need with this football-lovin’ campaign!”

Rudolph Foods further encourages lovers of pork rinds to support the campaign by visiting the brand’s website where they can watch videos from football hall of famers, join in Twitter chats using the #PorkRindDay hash tag, and learn more about the Gridiron Greats organization. Consumers can also enter to win a Big Game party, complete with sandwiches, pork rinds, a new 50” Plasma TV, and a personalized video from a Gridiron Greats football legend.

Last year’s campaign generated hundreds of thousands of votes nationwide, and donated $10,000 to the Wounded Warriors Family Support organization.

As one of the world’s largest suppliers of branded and private-label snack products, and recipient of the 2010 Energy Saver title, Rudolph Foods operates plants in Ohio, Georgia, Texas and California.
