Roundy's Rainbow Banner Rolls Out ‘fuelperks!’ Rewards Card

Roundy’s Rainbow Supermarkets this week unveiled a new customer loyalty rewards card that will offer customers significant savings at the gas pump. “This card is a true rewards card," Robert Mariano, chairman and CEO of the Minneapolis-based regional retailer, said of the new “fuelperks!” branded effort. “Our customers will not need it to continue getting their everyday discounts at Rainbow,” added Mariano, noting that the card offers Rainbow shoppers “something new -- namely extra value at the gas pump."

Customers who sign up for a new Roundy's Rewards Card via a fast and free process -- applications for which are located at a centrally located kiosk in all Rainbow stores -- will be able to redeem their first fuelperks! gasoline discounts at the end of this month.

As is the case with Pittsburgh-based Giant Eagle’s highly successful program of the same name, Rainbow shoppers can save 10 cents off per gallon of gas for every $50 they spend in qualified purchases at participating BP gas stations. Fuelperks! purchases are cumulative, meaning that customers needn’t spend $50 in a single transaction to earn discounts. Savings also automatically show up on customers’ register receipts when they reach a $50 level, and discounts will accumulate on Rewards Cards until they are redeemed at the gas pump.

Customer savings are managed electronically; they will automatically show up on Rainbow shoppers’ register receipts when they reach a $50 level. Discounts will accumulate in customers’ fuelperks! account until redeemed at the pump.

Roundy's Supermarkets, Inc. operates 151 retail grocery stores under the Pick 'n Save, Copps, Rainbow and Metro Market banners in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
