Roundy's Foundation Delivers 41,400 Pounds of Soup to Milwaukee Hunger Task Force

MILWAUKEE -- In response to an emergency request from a local charitable service organization, the Roundy's Foundation here delivered 41,000 pounds of soup valued at $58,954 to the Hunger Task Force in Milwaukee. The donation, which included chunky vegetable, chunky vegetable beef, and chicken rice soups, will help feed the hungry through 60 food shelters in Milwaukee County.

Chartered in August 2003, the Roundy's Foundation was created to further strengthen the commitment Roundy's Supermarkets has to the communities it serves. Roundy's Pick 'n Save and Copps stores are found throughout Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Since its inception, the foundation has given over $1 million to organizations focused on community service in areas of need, including food banks, women and family violence shelters, and literacy programs throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota
