Roche Bros. Goes 60 for 60
To mark its 60th year in business, New Englaind regional independent grocer Roche Bros. has rolled out a 60-day series of promotions and events occurring through Nov. 15 to thank its generations of loyal customers. The family-owned chain operates 18 supermarkets in greater Boston and the South Shore of Massachusetts.
“[Founding brothers] Pat and Bud instilled in us this sense that each and every employee shares the responsibility for our customers,” noted current COO Ed Roche, one of Pat’s sons, who with his brother, Rick, now operates the company. “That deep sense of responsibility gives us great pride.”
Stores and circulars will feature photos, vintage ads and recipes that tell the grocer’s story over the past six decades. Promotions during the 60-day celebration include price rollbacks on products, including the opportunity for shoppers to purchase Roche Bros. homemade potato salad for the 1975 price of just 89 cents per pound from Oct. 5 through Oct. 11.
Customers can keep tabs on the latest anniversary offers, as well as store activities and 60 years of memories via the grocer’s Facebook page.
Wellesley, Mass.-based Roche Bros. employs more than 4,000 full and part-time employees.
