Right By Nature Offers Corporate Catering, Delivery
As part of its ongoing expansion, Right By Nature Market has added corporate catering and delivery to its growing list of services. Earlier this year, the Pittsburgh-based independent organic and natural foods retailer rolled out a broad assortment of popular mainstream grocery brands for greater shopper convenience and merged with online delivery service GoodApples.com.
Through its new “Hometown Catering” program, Right By Nature can provide organic and all-natural foods for a range of occasions, including breakfast meetings, office luncheons and large-scale special events, for six people up to 5,000.
“Customers wanted the same delicious, all-natural meats and other foods they eat at home and in our café, available for their office meetings, parties and special events,” explained Jason Brown, CEO of Right By Nature Market and GoodApples.com. “With corporate catering business in the greater Pittsburgh area estimated to be in excess of $100 million annually, and the organic and natural segment of that being over $3 million, our research and experience in the catering business told us the expansion made sense. Given that we have an on-site café and GoodApples’ online ordering and delivery system already established, the catering service was a logical extension that we believe is good for our customers and for our business.”
The online service enables customers to review menus, make selections, pay for groceries and arrange for delivery on their computers. “We even offer a free boxed lunch to the person placing the catering order,” noted Brown. Catering orders start at a minimum of $35 and can be delivered at no charge to any location in the greater Pittsburgh area.
Since its March merger with GoodApples.com, Right By Nature has undergone a complete redesign and rebranding, and introduced a marketing initiative to educate consumers who are interested in natural products. The store currently carries more than 15,000 items and bills itself as the the only market east of the Mississippi to carry 80 percent organic and natural and 20 percent conventional top sellers..
Founded in 2008, Right By Nature Market is the largest independent, natural and organic hometown grocery market in Pittsburgh. Since its launch in 2005, GoodApples has grown from a small purveyor of fresh produce to become the largest online grocer in Pennsylvania.
