Redner's Prepares for First Maryland Opening
READING, Pa. -- Redner's Markets, Inc. here is in the home stretch of finalizing preparations to open its newest and first Maryland Warehouse Market Dec. 14 in Elkton, Md.
The company will welcome the media to tour its first store south of the Mason-Dixon line during a pre-opening information session next week, which will be hosted by Kevin Snyder, Redner's s.v.p.
Redner's Warehouse Market in Elkton will be located in the Southfield Park Shopping Center in Cecil County at Whitehall Road and Route 213. The 53,000-square-foot store will offer services such as an in-store bakery, a full-service deli, and fresh produce, meat and seafood departments, along with frozen, dairy, health and beauty aids/nonfoods, and grocery sections.
The store is expected to employ some 140 people in both full and part-time positions.
Redner's family-held, 35-year-old organization currently operates 39 Warehouse Markets and 11 Quick Shoppes throughout eastern Pennsylvania and New York.
