Redner's Donates $105K to Toys for Tots
READING, Pa. - Celebrating its 25th year of support through toy and cash collection for the United States Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots program, Redner's Warehouse Markets and Quick Shoppes based here collected $105,993 and four tractor trailers full of new toys in its stores located throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland.
The trademarks of Redner's successful program are paper choo choo trains that customers purchase for a $1 donation and add their own personal message, which are in turn displayed in the front of the family chain's stores throughout the holiday season.
Company officials said the key to success with the program is to ensure and communicate to the customers that all money and toys collected within a store are donated to the local community.
Redner's Markets, Inc., an employee owned company, operates 39 Warehouse Markets and 12 Quick Shoppes throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland.
