Red Apple Head Running for Big Apple Mayor

NEW YORK -- John Catsimatidis, chairman and c.e.o. of Red Apple Cos., which operates the Gristedes supermarket chain, is planning on adding Mayor of New York City to his title, according to New York Post gossip columnist Cindy Adams.

A Democrat who campaigned for Bill and Hillary Clinton and Al Gore, Catsimatidis said he would run for mayor during the next election in a bid to oust current Republican mayor Michael Bloomberg. "We have to fix New York and so we should think of Mayor Mike as O.T.B.," Catsimatidis told Adams. "One Term Bloomberg."
