Raley’s Curry Named USC Food Industry Exec in Residence
Kevin Curry, the SVP of sales, marketing, advertising, and merchandising for Raley’s Supermarket, was named the Food Industry Executive-in-Residence for 2015 for the USC Marshall School of Business’ Food Industry Executive Program. The post honors individuals that have risen to prominence in the food industry.
Curry, an alumnus of the program, has more than 37 years of industry experience, having worked for several retailers including Alpha Beta, Lucky, Albertsons, Safeway and Raley’s in a variety of positions, including store operations, accounting, warehousing, and sales, marketing and merchandising. He has held his current position as SVP at Raley’s since 2012 and oversees sales and marketing, margin management, store layouts and advertising.
“I am honored and thrilled to be named the Food Industry Executive in Residence for 2015,” Curry said. “The program has been instrumental to my career, and I am particularly excited to be back working with my FIM classmate from 1990, Cynthia McCloud, in her first year as director of the Food Industry [Executive] program. It is a wonderful opportunity to give back to this remarkable program.”
The Food Industry Executive Program was recently redesigned to provide an innovative resource for food industry executives and managers to strengthen their business skills and knowledge to better direct, grow and inspire their respective companies. It was formerly known as the Food Industry Management program (FIM).
“The Food Industry Executive Program is experience-based and globally relevant,” said McCloud. “Business leaders walk away with practical knowledge, techniques and tools to address the business challenges they face every day and to lead their organizations to superior performance.”
