Ragu pasta sauce and ’80s Brat Pack sweetheart-turned-mother of three Molly Ringwald have joined forces for the “Recipe for a Good Start” Contest, which the iconic Unilever USA brand describes as a “nationwide search for moms and their recipe for giving their kids a good start in life.”
Through March 31, 2010, parents can enter the contest at Recipeforagoodstart.com. Submitted recipes should feature Ragu pasta sauce, and entrants are invited to share tips for helping children thrive, such as promoting imagination and creativity.
The top three finalists, chosen by a panel of judges, will be posted on the site. Then consumers get to vote for their favorite submissions, and these contest entrants will have the opportunity to win a new set of cookware. The top three finalists will compete in a live cook-off event in New York City in August 2010, with the grand-prize contest winner receiving a $5,000 scholarship for his or her child.
