Publix Snags Environmental Award

MIAMI - Publix Super Markets won praise for its energy conservation efforts from The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce at a luncheon here yesterday. It was one of the winners of the 2002 Environmental Business Practices Awards for having created a highly integrated system of conservation practices, including internal monitoring programs, and guides and coloring books offering consumers tips on reducing, reusing and recycling.
