PRN Names Daniel Bourgault SVP, Sales

Premier Retail Networks, Inc. (PRN), a provider of retail digital media solutions yesterday appointed Daniel Bourgault SVP of national sales/non-endemic categories -- products or services not sold in the retail locations, such as insurance services, restaurants, and movie theatres -- which appeal to the mass audience that shops at large retailers.

Based in Los Angeles, Bourgault will be responsible for managing and expanding PRN’s national sales team, with a focus on expanding non-endemic advertising across all PRN platforms. He will report to PRN chief sales officer Scott Karnedy.

“Dan’s extensive advertising experience and strong relationships with both agencies and national brands will be a tremendous asset to our sales team,” said Karnedy, adding that Bourgault would be instrumental in the company’s quest to “broaden our focus in non-endemic advertising to the greater out-of-home space.”

Bourgault joins PRN from GE/NBC Universal in Burbank, Calif., where he has been national director of sales and business development for NBC Everywhere – Digital Media since August 2006. He originally joined GE/NBC Universal as director of partnership development worldwide in December 2002.

Before his work with GE/NBC Universal, Bourgault was director of business development and sponsorship at East West Creative in Hollywood, Calif. Previous positions include consultant – marketing strategist at 9th Floor Media in Santa Monica, Calif., and senior director of business and sponsorship development – themed entertainment worldwide at Eastman Kodak Co. in Hollywood.

PRN works with retailers, content partners, and advertisers to create in-store programming that engages consumers where they shop. Its retailer customers include Acme Markets, Albertsons, Best Buy, Carrefour, Costco Wholesale, Jewel-Osco, Pathmark, Sam’s Club, Shaw’s, ShopRite, Star Market and Walmart.
