Price Chopper Raises $170K for St. Jude Hospital
Price Chopper raised more than $170,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 2014, thanks to a month-long pinup campaign and the sale of more than 8,600 plush hippos. The total reflects a nearly 10 percent increase over the amount raised in 2013. Schenectady, N.Y.-based Price Chopper has collected donations for the well-known pediatric treatment and research facility for 13 consecutive years.
"Our teammates and customers have rallied once again with a tremendous effort in support of St. Jude," noted Mona Golub, VP of public relations and consumer services at Price Chopper. "For more than a decade, we've been proud to help spread the word on the St. Jude mission and the quality care that they provide to all who need it."
To date, Price Chopper has raised more than $1 million for St. Jude through the annual effort.
