Price Chopper Hires V.P. Technical Services and CTO
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Golub Corp./Price Chopper Supermarkets said yesterday it hired Tony Farah as v.p. of technical services and CTO, reporting to Dick Bauer, s.v.p. of information systems/c.i.o.
In his new role Farah, will assume responsibility for the operations of the data center, help desk, technical maintenance, and technical services for the Northeast regional retailer.
He joins Price Chopper from Unilever, where he handled global technology.
The family-owned Golub Corp. owns and operates more than 100 Price Chopper grocery stores in New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Golub employs over 23,000 associates who collectively own 55 percent of the company's privately held stock.
