Price Chopper Gets New Director of Design
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Price Chopper Supermarkets/Golub Corp. here said yesterday that it promoted Trieste Savona to the new position of director of design.
Savona will report directly to Bill Sweet, v.p. of construction & engineering.
In his new role, Savona will oversee the design of all corporate capital projects, including new stores, remodels, and corporate facilities for the Northeast regional grocer.
A Price Chopper employee since 1989, Savona has held such positions as draftsperson and senior purchasing agent at the chain. He most recently served as manager of design.
The family-owned Golub Corp. owns and operates 115 Price Chopper grocery stores in New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Golub employs over 23,000 associates who collectively own 55 percent of the company's privately held stock.
