Price Chopper to Deploy ADUSA/IBM Self-Service Kiosks in Stores

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Price Chopper has announced that it will deploy the RiteOrder self-service kiosk suite from ADUSA, Inc. in its stores. RiteOrder is a comprehensive suite of integrated self-service applications that includes deli ordering; wine, beer, and spirits information; and product locator. Price Chopper also announced that it has selected kiosk hardware from IBM.

"Self-service kiosks afford our customers additional convenience, access to more information, and more customized control of their shopping experience," said Mona Golub, manager of public relations and consumer services for Price Chopper.

Further details of the agreement were not given, but the three companies indicated that deployment activities would begin shortly, with the objective being to roll the solution out to a number of stores by the end of this year.
