Hawaiian coffee company Kona Joe Coffee, inspired by the election of native son Barack Obama to the highest office in the land, has released Barack O Blend, a coffee blend honoring the new president, who was born in Hawaii. The coffee is a mix of Hawaiian, Indonesian and Kenya coffees, another way of addressing President Obama’s international history. In addition, the coffee is packaged by war veterans as part of the "New Directions" program that helps out veterans in Hawaii. Kealakekua, Hawaii-based Kona Joe features the first-ever trellised coffee frame in the world, on which the company grows coffee like wine. A seven-ounce package retails for a suggested $12.95.
