PLCB Opens One Stop Shop in Chester County Clemens Family Market

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) here has opened the first One Stop Shop in Chester County. The store, in a Clemens Family Market in Lionville, opened Dec. 16, and is the 15th in the state.

"This market is our fourth partnership with the PLCB," said Mark Clemens, director of community marketing for Kulpsville, Pa.-based Clemens Family Markets. "Wine and spirits have a strong influence on today's overall cooking and eating experience, and customers can now put it all together in one building. With our new Chef's Kitchen area located just outside the One Stop Shop, the trained staffs at Clemens and the PLCB can assist customers in pairing wine and spirits with their food to create the ultimate meal."

Remarked PLCB chairman Jonathan Newman, "I've visited the wine aisle in grocery stores in many private markets, and they typically carry only the top-selling brands. This store will offer more than 2,700 products, including many highly allocated wines."

The store features a temperature-controlled wine room and operates Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. No date has apparently been set yet for the One Stop Shop's official grand-opening ceremony, and Clemens Family Markets officials were unavailable for comment.
