Planet Organic Names Ex-club Exec and M&A Expert to Board

EDMONTON, Ontario, Canada - Natural and organic products company Planet Organic Health Corp. yesterday appointed Brent Knudsen, a financial mover and shaker and an ex- club warehouse retailer, to its board of directors.

Knudsen, who is the managing partner of Partnership Capital Growth Advisors, LLC., has focused his business development in the healthy and active living and aging markets since 1983. Prior to founding PCGA, he was an original partner in North Castle Partners where he was key in developing EAS, an active nutrition brand in the U.S., Red Door
Spas, and the original acquisition of Naked Juice.

"With Brent's experience in, and understanding of, today's business environment, he will be a valued member of the Planet Organic board of directors," said Darren Krissie, v.p. and c.f.o.

Knudsen's first work in the sector was at Bain and Company, where he focused on health care strategy and mergers and acquisitions. That led him into serving as the original v.p. of marketing and business development for Price Club, holding the same position at Costco before and after the merger of the two companies.

Planet Organic is a natural products industry company, comprising manufacturing, distribution, and retail divisions. The company has a total of 77 stores throughout North America.

In the U.S., Planet operates 11 supermarkets under the Mrs Greens Natural Markets banner.

In Canada, it operates eight natural food supermarkets under the Planet Organic Market banner, 52 natural health outlets under the Sangster's Health Centre banner, and seven natural health outlets under the Healthy's banner.

Another POHC company, Trophic Canada is a manufacturer of natural supplements.
