Piggly Wiggly Makes Executive Moves

Piggly Wiggly Carolina Co., Inc. has made six position changes at its corporate office in Charleston, S.C.

Sandra Rabon has been elected to the board of directors of the company. A 14-year Piggly Wiggly Carolina Co. veteran, Rabon, a CPA, has held various accounting and finance positions, and is currently VP of finance.

Lynn Willard is now VP of Supermarket Operations. He has been with the company for 25 years and most recently held the position of director of retail operations. In his new role, Willard will oversee the retail operation of Piggly Wiggly Carolina Co.

John Owens is now assistant VP-business development. He has been with the company for 25 years and most recently held the position of assistant VP of perishables. Owens will represent independent interests and new business growth for the company.

Amie Grimes, who has worked for the company for six years, has been promoted to the role of senior financial analyst. Grimes, a CPA, started with the company as an accountant and most recently held the position of assistant director of retail accounting.

Tim Smith, a nine-year employee of Piggly Wiggly Carolina Co., has been promoted to the position coastal district manager. His most recent role was store operator at Pawley’s Island. Before joining the company, Smith worked in the grocery industry in positions of increasing responsibility for over 25 years.

Stephen Giebner has been named assistant director of retail accounting. Previously, Giebner was finance operations manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Asheville, N.C.
