Charleston, S.C.-based Piggly Wiggly Carolina is offering families two fast ways to eat at home for under $10.
On its Web site, it detailed two option for how those who "are starved for time" can "feed hungry family members."
The first option, Easy Meal, is "do it yourself" and feeds up to four people. Key meal ingredients are among Piggly Wiggly's weekly sale items, the grocer said, with "nothing complicated." Urging customers to "do the math," the chain listed weekly sales items such as a whole chicken, russet potatoes, broccoli crowns, and private label tea bags for $9.34.
The second option, Deli Dinner to Go, also feeds up to four people and is available in stores with a deli/bakery, the chain said. The menu features choice of one meat entrée, a choice of three 16 oz. side items, and six dinner rolls. "Mrs. Mac's Family Meal for Four" is described on the Web site as costing $9.99.
