PG Seeks Nominations for Most Valuable Perishable Buyers
NEW YORK - Do you work with a particular meat or seafood buyer who's a cut above the rest? Do you feel there's one produce director you call on who's simply the top banana? Does one of the key bakery/deli buyers you visit rise to the top of the pack?
We're betting that you know at least three such buyers fitting of these descriptions, and we're hoping that you'll tell us who they are by nominating them as a Progressive Grocer "MVB" -- Most Valuable Buyer.
Coming in September, we will profile the winners of our Best Buyer Awards honoring the industry's most innovative, enthusiastic, equitable, and knowledgeable retail and wholesale perishable category managers/buyers.
You may nominate up to three buyers, and along with each person's name, we'd also like you to briefly describe the key characteristics that set your nominee(s) apart from their peers, and why you feel they deserve special recognition as a Progressive Grocer MVB.
