PG Seeks 2012 Top Women in Grocery Nominees

Progressive Grocer is once again seeking nominees for its annual Top Women in Grocery awards program, which recognizes the integral role women play across all areas of the dynamic retail food industry. As in years past, women will be honored from both the retailer and supplier communities in three categories:

1. Senior Level Executives (retailers, suppliers and wholesalers)

2. Rising Stars (retailers, suppliers and wholesalers, with job titles above store managers but below VP)

3. Store Managers (retailers only)

All Top Women in Grocery winners will be recognized in the June 2012 issue of Progressive Grocer, and will also be honored at a gala awards event that will take place in late 2012.

Candidates will be based on female movers and shakers who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and influence in their companies and in the industry at large, and who have been deeply involved in their communities and related philanthropic activities between Jan. 1, 2011, and Jan. 31, 2012.

The deadline for nominations is April 1, 2012.

For repeat nominees, the candidate must have added new responsibilities to their role while achieving new related significant achievements during the Jan. 1, 2011-Jan. 31, 2012 measuring period, beyond the past achievements noted in previous Top Women in Grocery nomination forms.
