PG, DemandTec Launch ‘Industry Talk’ Online Video Channel
Signifying an important milestone of its expanding platform of integrated media offerings for food industry professionals, Progressive Grocer and DemandTec are breaking new ground with the launch of a new online video channel, http://industrytalk.progressivegrocer.com.
Hosted by PG’s editor in chief, Meg Major, the new website -- the first of its kind in the supermarket industry – features a series of informative, one-on-one interviews with leading industry executives.
Ric Jurgens, chairman and CEO of W. Des Moines, Iowa-based Hy-Vee Inc., headlines the first installment of Industry Talk, which covers a variety of timely topics relating to the 230-store regional retailer’s operations, ranging from industry and consumer trends, private label, nutrition and health and wellness, to organics, in-store pharmacies, social media and customer engagement.
“Ric Jurgens is one of the brightest, talented and well respected leaders in the supermarket industry, and we feel very fortunate to spotlight Ric as our first guest for our premier Industry Talk executive interview,” said Major. “As the latest iteration of PG’s ongoing mission to communicate and educate the trade in a variety of ways, Industry Talk will serve as a new resource for buyers and sellers to enhance their knowledge of the diverse and dynamic retail food industry, as told directly by the industry’s foremost movers and shakers.”
Industry Talk will feature new segments updated monthly with a rotating slate of industry guests discussing top-of mind issues impacting the supermarket industry.
