Penn Traffic to Pilot NeXpansion's 'Endless Aisle' Service

NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. - NeXpansion, a provider of turnkey technology and fulfillment solutions for manufacturers and retailers, and supermarket retailer Penn Traffic have announced a partnership to offer the "Endless Aisle" service to shoppers in select P&C Food & Pharmacy stores beginning in April, 2002.

Offered via customized in-store kiosks and a link from the P&C website, the Endless Aisle service will provide P&C customers with an extended assortment of gourmet, ethnic and organic foods, and other products not typically found in even the largest supermarkets, according to NeXpansion, the founder of Netgrocer.com.

"NeXpansion's Endless Aisle technology gives shoppers access to a vastly expanded range of products," said Joseph V. Fisher, president and CEO of Penn Traffic. "We are pleased to provide this promising value-added service for our customers."

Based on the results of the pilot program, Penn Traffic and NeXpansion will consider rolling out the Endless Aisle service in other Penn Traffic supermarkets.
