Pathmark Implements UCCnet Services
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - Pathmark Stores has signed on with UCCnet to implement a trading partner collaboration initiative designed to enhance relationships with suppliers and improve accuracy of its item file.
As part of the initial phase of the initiative, Pathmark, which operates 143 supermarkets in New York, New Jersey, Delaware and metropolitan Philadelphia, will begin synchronizing item and company data for its products by using UCCnet GLOBALregistry and SYNCengine services for data synchronization.
Pathmark joins more than 1,300 other supply and demand side trading partners as members of the UCCnet community.
Bob Schoening, s.v.p. and chief information officer at Pathmark, says UCCnet services will allow the company to improve the accuracy of its item file by enabling associates to update item information in a timelier manner with its hundreds of North American and international suppliers.
"Pathmark has made a major investment over the last few years in enhancing its IT infrastructure. Implementing UCCnet services is an integral part of Pathmark's continued enhancement effort," said Schoening. "We know that synchronizing our data will not only improve our relationships with suppliers but will also ensure that our item file contains accurate information."
