Pathmark Gets New Pharmacy Ops V.P.
CARTERET, N.J. -- Northeast supermarket chain Pathmark Stores, Inc. here said yesterday that it has hired Jim Finocchi as v.p. of pharmacy operations. Finocchi comes to the company after serving 19 years in a similar capacity with the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., Inc.
At Pathmark, Finocchi will assume responsibility for pharmacy operations, systems, and procurement.
Pathmark c.e.o. Eileen Scott noted in a statement, that Finocchi's "excellent pharmacy experience will help us achieve our operating and financial objectives in this important business."
Finocchi will report to Art Whitney, Pathmark's e.v.p. of merchandising and logistics.
Pathmark operates 142 stores in the New York-New Jersey and Philadelphia metropolitan areas. One of the first supermarkets to feature in-store pharmacies more than 40 years ago, the company currently has 129 pharmacy departments.
