Partnership for Food Safety Launches Webinar Series
The nonprofit Partnership for Food Safety Education has come up with a new way for health educators and consumers to learn about safe food handling messages and quality educational resources. The Partnership's Fight BAC! Brown Bag Webinar Series will launch on April 10 with its inaugural webinar: "What's Going on in the Kitchen? Food Safety Practices."
During the webinar, Dr. Christine Bruhn of the University of California at Davis will shed light on consumer food handling practices with findings from her recent observational study of home cooks. Kathy Bernard of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service will discuss the tools consumers need to keep their families safer from food poisoning and educate others to do the same.
BAC! Fighters (health and food safety educators) in the United States are welcome to participate in the webinar and should go to www.fightbac.org for more information. Participation in the webinar is free, but pre-registration is required.
