ORGANICS: Hain Celestial Embraces ‘Everyday Food’

The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. is sponsoring season five of the “Everyday Food” television series” on PBS, a presentation of WETA, the flagship public broadcasting station in Washington. Airing weekly, the half-hour program showcases simply, healthy recipes from Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia’s Everyday Food magazine that can be prepared in 30 minutes or under.

Funding for the show’s fifth season, which will air throughout the year, has been provided in part by Melville, N.Y.-based Hain Celestial through its Imagine Natural Creations line of natural and organic broth, soup, stock and gravy products; Arrowhead Mills line of flours, grains and baking mixes; and Spectrum Organics natural and organic culinary oils, vinegars, condiments and butter substitutes. The company is also offering expertise from its culinary and research and development teams, which have operated for over 15 years.

The funding expands upon Hain Celestial’s successful partnership with Sesame Workshop and its “Healthy Habits for Life” Initiative and PBS Kids in support of “Sesame Street” and public television.

“With health care on everyone’s minds these days, healthful eating is important to all of us,” said Hain Celestial president and CEO Irwin Simon. “We have delicious meal solutions that even kids will enjoy from our portfolio of natural and organic products.”
