Organic Holiday Meal Planners Now Online

Organic Valley, the United States’ largest cooperative of organic farmers, and Simply Organic, an organic seasonings manufacturer, have launched a series of recipes and two online Holiday Meal Planners for home cooks, to which Londonderry, N.H.-based Stonyfield Organic has contributed a smoked-salmon dip appetizer. The dinner meal planner can be downloaded at the Organic Valley or Simply Organic websites, with a brunch meal planner set to be available online starting Dec. 1.

The holiday dinner and brunch meal planner kits contain all of the necessary elements to host a stress-free organic holiday, including invitations that can be printed as postcards or sent electronically; kitchen gadget ideas; menu suggestions for appetizers through desserts; dairy and seasoning coupons from Organic Valley, Stonyfield Organic and Simply Organic; a calendar to-do list that providing specific items for planning and food preparations; and games and fun activities to keep kids occupied.

Shoppers can also register to win a gift basket with a suggested retail value of $500, by visiting the Facebook page for either Organic Valley or Simply Organic, a brand of Norway, Iowa-based Frontier Natural Products Co-op, or registering at the Simply Organic website.

Among the gifts to be won are $150 in coupons for Organic Valley products; $100 worth of Stonyfield Organic yogurt, along with a Stonyfield Organic Yogurt Cookbook, a Stonyfield Organic T-shirt and branded cooking gear; and a 16-count spice rack containing Simply Organic spices, as well as a complete set of the brand’s baking flavors and extracts.

“We believe that the best recipes start with the highest-quality, organic ingredients, and are made better only by enhancements of the same standard,” explained Tripp Hughes, director of category management at La Farge, Wis.-based Organic Valley. “Simply Organic seasonings are a great match to Organic Valley eggs, creamers, half & half, butter, cream, cheese and other recipe foundations.”
