Ohio Grocers Association Hands Out Pinnacle Awards
The Ohio Grocers Association has awarded its prestigious Pinnacle Award to Rideout’s IGA Foodliner and Wagner’s IGA. The award honors a single-store operator and a multi-store operation that have demonstrated operational excellence and contributed significantly to Ohio’s food industry.
Bob and Susan Rideout first opened Rideout’s IGA in Perry, Ohio in 1987. Today, son Robbie manages the store and is part owner, daughter Cassie is deli manager and Bob’s sister Linda is office manager.
Wagner’s IGA, which first opened in 1922, is managed by Wally Wagner Jr., the third generation of the Wagner family. The company has three locations in Minister, Fort Loramie and New Bremen. Wagner also is the immediate past chairman of OGA.
Both retailers were presented with a trophy in store and will also be honored with a video presentation at the OGA Annual Trade Relations Gala on April 18 in Columbus.
