The NPD Group, the Port Washington, N.Y.-based market research company, has been awarded the U.S. General Services Administration’s Advertising and Integrated Marketing Services (AIMS) contract.
As a GSA approved vendor, federal agencies now have the ability to access data and information on the eating behaviors of the U.S. population, culled from tens of thousands of eating diaries from the American population over the past 30 years. The consumer information is available across all food categories, including demographics, health attitudes and physical profile, tracks individual and household eating habits, as well as nutrition components.
“NPD is the only market research company to measure what consumers actually eat and drink for the past quarter century,” said Aaron J. Heffron, executive director, Public Sector and Government, The NPD Group. “Many issues and questions can be addressed with our insight into the trends in a daily consumption.”
Now on the GSA Schedule (contract #GS-07F-005AA), NPD can help evaluate food and nutrition policies that affect the health of American adults and children, and more readily provide comprehensive knowledge and insight about the eating behaviors of the U.S. population to help identify emerging trends and evaluate the effectiveness of programs.
The NPD Group provides comprehensive consumer and retail information for a wide range of industries, helping companies drive critical business decisions at the global, national, and local market levels.
