MoonPie, the classic marshmallow cookie sandwich born in 1917 that’s been Chattanooga Bakery, Inc.’s No. 1-selling item since the late 1930s, this month debuted the latest member of its lineup: MoonPie Crunch Mint. Sized like the current “Mini” MoonPie, the newcomer features a creamy mint filling; a crunchier, chocolate-flavored cookie; and a chocolatey coating on the outside, according to its Chattanooga, Tenn.-based maker. Mint is the second entry in the recently introduced MoonPie Crunch line, following the launch of Peanut Butter in September 2008.
