Neuberger to Lead Ops Admin at Weis

John Neuberger is Weis Markets’ new vice president of operational administration, the Sunbury, Pa.-based grocery chain has announced.

In this position, Neuberger will oversee Weis' store support functions related to budgeting, sales and labor, best methods for operations and retail efficiencies, inventory shrink, net income performance, and total store customer service.

Neuberger has more than 30 years of food retailing experience. Before coming to Weis Markets, he worked as director of loss prevention at Schenectady, N.Y.-based Price Chopper Supermarkets. Earlier in his career, Neuberger worked in store support as a category manager, labor and budget expense controls along with various store level supervisory positions.

Founded in 1912, Weis Markets Inc. operates165 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and West Virginia.
