NEC Display Solutions to Sponsor ‘Best of Infocomm’ Award

NEC Display Solutions of America, a standalone provider of commercial LCD displays and projectors, will sponsor the “Best of InfoComm Award,” a new honor given to the best product or service at InfoComm 09. The winning company will have $25,000 given to the charity of its choice.

InfoComm 09, a trade show displaying digital signage and other commercial audiovisual solutions, will take place on June 17 through June 19 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. NEC Display Solutions will exhibit at Booth No. 5001.

“InfoComm is all about exchanging ideas, exploring great new products and services, and networking with key players in the digital signage industry,” said Ashley Flaska, VP of marketing for Itasca, Ill.-based NEC Display Solutions USA. “NEC Display Solutions is a longtime exhibitor of the conference, and we strongly support acknowledging the best product or service.”

Nominations from InfoComm exhibitors will be accepted at www.necdisplay.com/best/ through April 30. Eligible products and services must be on display at InfoComm 09 and have first-customer-ship dates between Jan. 1, 2009, and Sept. 30, 2009. Only one entry per exhibitor will be accepted.

Public voting for the best entry will occur May 1 through June 5. The five entries with the most public votes will be announced at NEC Booth No. 5001 the first day of InfoComm 09 and judged at the conference by a panel of impartial industry experts. The sole winner will be selected on the last day of the show and be presented with “The Best of InfoComm Award” by NEC Display Solutions President and COO Pierre Richer.

About 30,000 commercial AV professionals, technology managers, CIOs and procurement personnel from over 80 countries are expected to visit more than 850 exhibitors at InfoComm 09. Education sessions, including a range of digital signage classes, will offer the training upon which AV professionals rely to stay current with rapidly changing technology.
