National Confectioners Association Seeks Leadership Awards Noms
The National Confectioners Association (NCA), in conjunction with Candy & Snack TODAY magazine, is seeking nominations for the trade organization's 2015 Confectionery Leadership Awards. Nominations will be accepted through Oct. 10.
Designed to recognize trade customers who support and lead the confectionery industry in thought leadership as well as forward-thinking merchandising and category promotion, the Confectionery Leadership Awards will be presented in Miami at NCA’s annual State of the Industry Conference in February 2015.
“The Confectionery Leadership Awards are an opportunity for the industry to recognize top customers who serve as role models for other retailers and wholesalers, and exemplify what it means to be a good industry partner,” said Larry Wilson, NCA’s VP of customer relations. “Our goal is to reward individuals who use their experience and expertise to lead their companies and encourage the kind of visionary thinking that drives the confectionery category forward.”
Last year's Confectionery Leadership Awards recipients included Jamal Parker, Sr., buyer, candy & snacks for Sam's Club; and Tim Erceg, purchasing specialist for Hy-Vee.
The National Confectioners Association, headquartered in Washington, D.C., comprises member companies that manufacture, market and supply the vast majority of chocolate confectionery, sugar confectionery and gum sold in the U.S.
