NACDS Selects Russell Reynolds Associates to Assist in CEO Search
ALEXANDRIA , Va. - The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) last week selected the executive search firm of Russell Reynolds Associates to work with its search committee in recruiting a new president and c.e.o.
The members of the NACDS search committee are NACDS chairman Anthony N. Civello, president and c.e.o., Kerr Drug, Inc.; NACDS vice chairman David W. Bernauer, chairman and c.e.o., Walgreen Co.; NACDS treasurer Warren F. Bryant, chairman, president and c.e.o., Longs Drug Stores; Thomas Ryan, chairman, president and c.e.o., CVS Corporation; and NACDS president and c.e.o. Robert Hannan.
NACDS represents the nation's retail chain pharmacies and suppliers, which operate more than 37,000 pharmacies, employ 114,000 pharmacists, fill more than 2.3 billion prescriptions yearly, and have annual sales of nearly $700 billion. Other members include more than 1,000 suppliers of products and services to the chain drug industry.
Among the numerous clients for which the firm has recruited senior leaders are the American Medical Association, American Red Cross, Junior Achievement, U.S. Pharmacopeia, Athlete's Foot, Eddie Bauer, H.E. Butt Grocery, Maidenform, and Pennzoil-Quaker State .
