MyWebGrocer Sees Record Sales

NEW YORK - MyWebGrocer announced on Monday that comparable store sales in its online shopping network have doubled last year's results.

"We have three record volume weeks in a row, and each of the last four weeks have doubled our year-ago comparable store volume," said president Mike Spindler. "The strength is impacted by earlier school openings this year, which tends to be a time of the year when families change their shopping behavior."

MyWebGrocer's clients include: Lowes Foods, Supervalu, D'Agostino, Harris Teeter, Rice Epicurean Markets, Shoprite/Wakefern, Dorothy Lane Markets, Unified Western Grocers, Farm Fresh Markets, and many other chain and independent supermarkets.

"I cannot speak for online grocers who are not yet MyWebGrocer clients," said Spindler, "but they must be seeing similar results. Safway's recent expansion into the San Diego market supports this."

MyWebGrocer, based in New York City, claims to be the largest and fastest-growing provider of enhanced consumer direct capabilities for the grocery industry.
