MyWebGrocer Goes Outside Grocery Industry with Latest Service

COLCHESTER, Vt. -- E-commerce provider MyWebGrocer said yesterday it has created MyWebLink, a division that will provide Internet marketing and e-commerce expertise to the non-grocery retail industry.

MyWebLink will provide online shopping, Web site design and hosting, interactive catalog, e-mail, search engine optimization (SEO), video marketing, and pay per click management services to consumer-direct companies.

To manage this new division, Alec Newcomb has joined the company and has been named v.p. of business development for MyWebLink. Newcomb brings 10 years of e-commerce and Internet marketing experience from companies such as Lycos, MTV Networks, and Bosch.

"We are excited about the launch of MyWebLink to service customers outside of the grocery vertical," said Rich Tarrant, c.e.o. of MyWebGrocer, in a statement. "After eight successful years developing our applications, services, and customer support process, this is the next logical extension of our business."

MyWebLink's client list already includes Campbell's, Kraft, Newman's Own, Netgrocer, and its newest client, HouseNeeds.

Founded in 1999, MyWebGrocer provides Web site design and hosting, e-mail, online circular, recipe, personalization, and e-commerce services to more than 75 grocery chains nationwide.
