More Publix Stores on Tap for Tennessee
LAKELAND, Fla. - Publix Super Markets here is planning to expand its presence in Tennessee, according to published reports. The regional retailer currently operates 13 stores in the state.
Its next Tennessee unit is slated to open in Goodlettsville in October. That will be followed in late 2007 by a new store in Murfreesboro. The store will be located in a shopping center being built The Barclay Group.
The Barclay Group, a Florida commercial real estate company, is also developing another Publix-anchored shopping center in Murfreesboro, to open in early 2009, the Nashville Business Times reports.
Publix entered the Nashville market in mid-2002.
