Mollie Stone's Markets Voted NoCal's Best Grocer for Kosher

MILL VALLEY, Calif. -- Readers of "J The Jewish News Weekly" chose Mollie Stone's Markets as best grocery store with a kosher section, in a recent reader's poll.

J is a weekly newspaper aimed at the Jewish community in Northern California. In it's first ever reader's poll, Mollie Stone's was also recognized with an honorable mention in the contest for "Best supermarket in the San Francisco Bay Area."

"We are extremely proud of being recognized by the readers of J for our dedication to all aspects of kosher foods," said David Bennett, co-owner of Mollie Stone's. "We have positioned Mollie Stone's to be the leader in year-round kosher food offering, not just for a few important holidays."

Mollie Stone's Markets was founded by Mike Stone and David Bennett in 1985 with the idea of giving shoppers "best of both worlds," according to the company. Kosher foods are featured prominently on the store's shelves, and it offers center store kosher groceries, frozen, dairy, pre packaged deli items, candy, lunch meats, and fresh meats and poultry. Kosher meat is cut on premises under the supervision of Vaad Hakashrus of Northern California.

Mollie Stone's has stores in Sausalito, Greenbrae, San Francisco (Pacific Heights and Tower Market), Palo Alto, Burlingame, San Mateo, and San Bruno.
