Minyard Food Stores Adopts IBM ACE Grocery Application
RALEIGH, N.C. - IBM and Kyrus recently announced that Texas retailer Minyard Food Stores has installed the IBM SurePOS Application Client/Server Environment (ACE) grocery application in order to improve the checkout process and reduce training time for store personnel.
Minyard will be using a new touch-screen SureVision interface with the application. The company plans to add flat panel displays that will deliver more information to Minyard's shoppers and provide additional advertising and promotional opportunities at the point of sale, according to an IBM/Kyrus press release.
