Metropolitan Market Signs Interim Agreement with UFCW
SEATTLE - Community-based independent Metropolitan Market yesterday said it inked interim agreements with United Food and Commercial Workers Union (UFCW) for all of its Puget Sound area stores.
Agreements were reached with UFCW Local No.s 21, 81, and 367 covering locations in King and Pierce Counties.
The interim agreement allows Metropolitan Market team members to continue working under the current contract, which expired May 5, through any period of time during which a new contract may be under negotiation.
Metropolitan Market has six stores serving the communities of West Seattle (Admiral), Tacoma (Proctor), Sand Point, Dash Point, Uptown, and Queen Anne.
