Melinda Rich Elected Vice-Chairman at Rich Products

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Melinda (Mindy) Rich was elected vice-chairman of Rich Products Corp. here, as well as e.v.p. of innovation. Rich's new responsibilities are in addition to her role as a managing shareholder and member of Rich Products' board of directors; she will also continue in her role as president of Rich Entertainment Group.

In her new role as vice-chairman, Rich will continue to lead the company's "culture of innovation" and carry on the legacy of Rich's founder, the late Robert E. Rich. She will also direct the organization's creativity and champion innovative products geared towards accelerating Rich's long-term growth. Rich will work in partnership with company chairman Robert E. Rich Jr., to lead the overall strategic direction and governance of the organization.

Rich serves on several boards of directors, including M&T Bank; Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co., where she is chairman of the governance committee, The Culinary Institute of America, and; the Mariners Hospital Foundation. She is also currently serving as a non-voting director of the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp.

In 1986, Rich and her husband, Bob, founded Western New York United Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting substance abuse and educating children throughout Western New York. Rich is also very involved in fund-raising activities geared toward finding a cure for cystic fibrosis, among others.
