Meijer Taps 'Fight Water' to Support Breast Cancer Research

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Meijer Inc. based here is the sole retailer to carry the cause-related Water Fight bottled water products to benefit breast cancer research.

"Combining business with real dollars to help our communities was
something we wanted to be a part of," said Stacie Behler, Meijer's v.p./corporate communications and public affairs. "Breast cancer impacts so many of our employees and customers and we were proud to join Komen and Water Fight in providing a creative way for our customers to be a part of the fight."

Meijer and Susan G. Komen for the Cure have worked in the past to increase funding and participation at many of the Komen Races for the Cure held within its
footprint. A 24-pack of Water Fight will sell for $5.99 with $.50/case going to Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure.

Water Fight is the brainchild of Grand Rapids restaurateur and entrepreneur Joe Guglielmi, who designed the product to raise funds for any number of major philanthropic efforts.
