Meijer, Produce for Kids Team to Promote Healthy Eating
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- More than 179 Meijer stores are participating in Produce for Kids (PFK), the national program that promotes the importance of adding more fruits and vegetables to children's daily diets, and raises funds for Children's Miracle Network hospitals serving local communities.
PFK recently debuted a new image and logo, customized retailer programs and revamped its Web site-all to better promote the advantages of adding more fruits and vegetables to children's daily diets.
From May 20 through June 16, Meijer will promote the following sponsors in its stores: Dole Fresh Packaged Salads; Green Giant Red Potatoes; NatureSweet Vine Ripened Cherry Tomatoes; Oppenheimer/Zespri Kiwi; Santa Sweets Grape Tomatoes; Shuman Produce's RealSweet brand Vidalia onions; Stemilt's AppleSweets and Cherries and T. Marzetti Salad Dressings and Hummus Dips.
