Martin's Appoints Community Relations Coordinator

Martin’s Food Markets, a banner of Ahold USA-owned Giant-Carlisle, has named Vicki L. Kiger community relations coordinator for its south region, which encompasses the greater Richmond and Williamsburg, Va., area. Kiger, formerly director of marketing at SportsQuest, brings more than 20 years of marketing and special events experience to her new role.

As Martin’s community relations coordinator, Kiger will oversee community relations and events planning for the banner’s stores in the region.

Her previous positions include director of marketing and advertising for Archadeck, as well as marketing and special events roles with Video World and the Richmond Braves Baseball Club. A member of the American Marketing Association, Kiger also volunteers for the Richmond Animal League.

Based in Carlisle, Pa., Giant operates in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia under the names of Giant Food Stores and Martin’s Food Markets, and employs almost 30,000 associates.
