Marsh VP to Address Wellness Confab

Chris Duffy, Marsh Supermarkets vice president of pharmacy, is scheduled to speak at the 2011 Health and Wellness Conference on overturning the childhood obesity rate.

Duffy will discuss marketing strategies grocery stores have promoted in order to provide healthy, affordable diets for children and their families. A panel of experts will also be present to describe past experiences and methods they have conducted.

The 2011 Health and Wellness Conference, held April 3 to 5 in Orlando, Fla., provides an opportunity for retailers and suppliers to get together and discuss different strategies to meet health needs of customers. Other topics include wellness and disease management, emerging pharmacy trends and the public health crisis.

Based in Indianapolis, Marsh operates 84 Marsh supermarkets, 10 MainStreet Markets and 3 O’Malia’s Food Markets in Indiana and Ohio, with 40 Indiana pharmacy locations.
